If we’re just looking at averages, most air duct cleaning services take somewhere between 2 to 5 hours for residential homes or small businesses. But, there are many different factors that go into the timeline. If you want to get a more accurate idea of how long your air duct cleaning will take, here are a few considerations we take into account when we put together estimates for our clients:
The size and layout of the air duct system
The biggest factor in determining how long your air duct cleaning will take is the size of your property. A one-bedroom home, for instance, will have fewer vents and HVAC components that need to be cleaned compared to a multi-story office space or sprawling warehouse. In a smaller space, we can finish up the job in a few hours, whereas a large commercial setting could take multiple days.
The state of the air ducts
There are many reasons why your ventilation system may take longer to clean. Maybe dirt has been building up for a matter of years, or perhaps you’ve recently gone through a construction project, mold remediation process, or pest problem. These special circumstances will mean that we’ll want to give your vents a deeper clean.

Additional treatments or services
Here at Bee Clean, we offer some special treatments like sanitization and deodorizing, as well as insulation installation and sealing to make sure that your HVAC system is in tip-top shape. If you opt for these additional services, we’ll make sure to include them in the time estimate.
