Medina air duct cleaning

Bee Clean Air Duct Cleaning recently completed an air duct cleaning job for a homeowner in Medina, OH. The homeowner reached out after dealing with weak airflow in a couple rooms and wanted the whole duct system checked out and cleaned before the next season change. Our technician started by running a camera down through the ducts to see what was actually going on inside before any cleaning began.

What he found was more than just normal dust and lint. There was broken bits of drywall and concrete mixed in with the dust, plus a handful of foam dart toys that had somehow worked there way down into one of the floor vents. Its pretty common in homes with kids running around, little toys and small items end up falling into the vent without anyone noticing until a cleaning like this turns them up.

To get all of that out our technician used a rotating brush tool attached to a flexible rod to break up the debris and loosen anything stuck to the sides of the duct, then followed up with a HEPA filtered vacuum to pull everything out. You can see the brush tool right in the photo as it works its way down the line. That combination of brushing and vacuuming gets a lot more out of the duct than vacuuming alone, especially when there is solid debris mixed in with the dust.
